El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia

The Carlos Galan International Airport, which was formerly called the El Nuevo Dorado International Airport and the El Dorado International Airport, is the largest airport in all of Colombia and is a major transportation hub in South America. This airport is the largest on the continent when it comes to cargo movement and is the fourth busiest in terms of passengers. This airport serves all of the major airlines and is one of the only airports in Colombia that travels to all major destinations all over the world. In fact, 49% of Colombia's air traffic originates at the Bogota airport and it even features third largest landing field in the world because of this high traffic. There is currently a new movement afoot that will include this airport in with the transportation system in Bogota. What this means is that air travel will be easier than ever before in the country, as people will easily be able to access the airport whenever they wish through public transportation.

There are two terminals at the Dorado International Airport, with the main terminal handling all of the airport's international arrivals and departures. This terminal is called El Dorado and was built specially for this international traffic. There are also check-in counters and an immigration department in this section of the airport, so it is equipped to handle everything that the airport can dish out. This building also has a national concourse and an international concourse, which is used to keep the different kinds of traffic separate. There are a number of duty free shops and other amenities available throughout these buildings and you can even browse the internet while you wait, as this is truly an international airport that caters to the worldwide traveler.

The other terminal is a smaller one that services regional and domestic flights. This terminal used to also serve Miami and New York City, but these routes have now been moved to the larger building. Some recent renovations, however, have made this one of the nicer domestic route terminals in the world, as it has been equipped with everything that domestic passengers need and then some. This terminal can handle up to 120 flights per day, so it is definitely large enough to handle the domestic traffic that is present in Bogota. There are currently plans in place to expand the airport as a whole even further, as the El dorado International Airport wishes to become one of the largest airports in South America. The only real competition for this title is found in Brazil, so if nothing else, this airport should be able to bring in customers from neighboring countries on a regular basis.

If you plan on visiting the El Dorado International Airport, you will want to make sure that you have your accommodation already lined up because finding a hotel once you are there can be a major hassle. If you book your hotel online, you can make sure that your hotel is close enough to your terminal, so that you will be able to catch your connecting flight easily and efficiently. Of course, if you plan on staying in the city center, you can still book your room online, as this is the best way to save money and research the hotel before you land.

When you book online, you will have access to maps and can view the hotel's amenities before you travel. Perhaps best of all, you can book a shuttle ride to your hotel from your terminal, so that you will not have any uncertainty when you visit this beautiful city. There are countless reasons why you might be visiting Bogota, but no matter what the nature of your visit might be, it makes a lot of sense to book your hotel room online before you leave. Saving money and providing yourself with the piece of mind needed are reason enough to visit a website and book your hotel today.

Come to our Bogota accommodation surely it will fit on your expectations and make your dreams become true!
