Meet Bogotá !!!
Welcome to the capital of Colombia. A city with about 7 million inhabitants, located at 2640 mts "nearer to the stars" with an average temperature of 13°C.
This is a really nice place to come and visit in any time of the year and you will have a lot of reasons to enjoy your stay. It is possible to arrive by air or land, there are a lot of transportation operators for both. Once in Bogotá, it is easy to rent a car and go sightseeing and have a tasty meal while your stuff remains in a comfortable and safe hotel.
There is always somewhere to go, something to see and a lot of things to do. First of all, Bogotá has the Candelaria zone, in which there is a wonderful colonial architecture, this part of the city transports people to another period in the history, even because it is easy to participate of art exhibitions and cultural shows.
Secondly La Plaza Bolivar is a beautiful example of centralization; there you can appreciate the government buildings with its magisterial design and a lot of tourists getting to know better the heart of Colombia.
Thirdly, being in places like Maloka in where you can meet the spectacular dome theater and watch a movie with totally great effects (you feel that you are inside the film), or go to the "Planetarium" and enjoy a space presentation to relax and transfer yourself through the space.
Something really curious and unique is that in Bogotá in spite that it is an inner land city, things are really cheap, and you can find all kind of clothes, food, electro domestics, books and whatever!!!
If you look for nature, you can walk Monserrate, you can go to the big parks as the Simón Bolívar, and play football, soccer, basket, in addition you can take part in the Ciclovía (bicycle route) on Sundays until noon or in the special "Nocturnal bicycle route".
For children there is nothing more tentative than roller coaster and those exciting places as Mundo Aventura or Salitre mágico. In Bogotá you can go to great thematic parks and even a water park called Aquapark.
Staying alone or with some partners is a nice plan for holidays as there are several enjoyable things to do, including the nocturnal life which is amazing, there is no any other place over the world with this extraordinary parties.
You just cannot forgo the things that Bogota offers, visit this beautiful capital city, be grateful for the conditions of the weather as while you are travelling to Bogota from some other parts of Colombia you just perceive the changes in the climatic conditions, varying from hot to cold in only half an hour, you will never regret.
